Join us this Sunday, February 5, for the annual ADATH Super Bowl party featuring a giant screen HD TV, surround sound system, and great refreshments including BBQ spicy wings, chili, hot dogs, hamburgers, grilled chicken, and much more. Party starts at 6:00 p.m., kickoff 6:25 p.m. buffet reservations are required: adults in advance $20, students $15, children under twelve $10, immediate family max $60, adults at the door $25 - so make sure you make your reservations in advance.

MOMMY AND ME

All mothers and their children are invited to join our new Mommy and Me Club each Tuesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m., continuing this Tuesday, February 7. Esty Zwiebel and Keren Ludvig are the coordinators. There is no charge. Enjoy playtime, socializing, and a warm, friendly space. Please come and tell your friends.

BIALIK-ADATH COMEDY SHABBATON

On Friday night, February 10 (5-9 p.m.), Bialik families are invited to an entertaining Kabbalat Shabbat Service, catered dinner, and a Comedy Showdown featuring Bialik alumni comedians Kevin Shustack, Robby Hoffman, and Jon Selig. Please call our office to make reservations: $30 per person, $18 for kids under 13.

FAMILY MOVIE MATINEE

On Sunday, February 12 at 4:00 p.m. at The Adath, we will show “The Incredibles.” This is ideal for parents and children ages 4-7, though everyone is welcome to attend. SHABBAT TO SHARE

SHABBAT TO SHARE is a new community-wide initiative started by Mada, the Kosher soup kitchen in Plaza CDN. Volunteers prepare boxes on Wednesday and Thursday that contain everything a needy person needs for Shabbat, and then deliver those boxes on Thursday night, taking a few moments to visit with each person. So far, over 30 members and friends of the ADATH have agreed to participate. Please join us! to sign up or for more information, contact Rabbi Whitman.

 KARATE - We offer traditional karate classes for men and for women. Please call our office for more information.

 HOW TO DRAW AND PAINT - continues Tuesday, February 7, 1-3 p.m., led by Montreal artist Joseph Gluchy. Please call our office for more information.

 BNEI MITZVAH - The next session is Tuesday, February 7, 5:45 p.m. and will feature learning about Shabbat through cooking and eating together. All Bnei Mitzvah and their parents are invited.

 YOUTH SERVICE - Shabbat, February 11

 TUBING - On Saturday night (Motzei Shabbat) February 11, all boys and girls (and adults) are invited to an ADATH TUBING TRIP at Glissades des Pays den Haunt(www.glissades.ca, exit 53 off Autoroute 15) with Rabbi Alex. We will leave from the ADATH at 7 pm in several cars for tubing from 8-10 p.m. and we will return to the ADATH at 11:00 p.m. for pizza, with pick-up from 11:00-11:30 p.m. The cost is 25$ per person.  Habait HaIsraeli and the ADATH offer a Tu B’Shvat Seder, in conjunction with JNF, on Saturday night (Motzei Shabbat), February 11, 7:30 p.m. All Hebrew speakers are welcome.

 TU BISHVAT CANADA STYLE! Join a community-wide Mont Royal snowshoe tour in celebration of Tu B’Shvat - Sunday, February 12, 1:30 p.m., meet at Smith House. The cost is $14 per person, which includes snowshoe rental and hot chocolate.

 Rabbi Whitman will teach a class for women, “The Positive Energy of Shabbat” at Kollel Torah Mitzion (5700 Kellert, CSL) on Wednesday, February 15, at 9:00 a.m. All women are invited to attend.

 COMMUNITY-WIDE PURIM CARNIVAL AT THE ADATH - Sunday, March 4, co-sponsored by Town of Hampstead, Or HaHayim, TBDJ, BIBA, Beth Zion, KTM, Bnei Akiva, and NCSY.

SISTERHOOD’S PRE-PAID SHOPPING CARDS

The Sisterhood has pre-paid shopping cards for sale for Loblaws, Provigo, Maxi and IGA. Cards come in denominations of $50. Orders of over $500. can be paid by credit card. For every purchase you make with a card, 5% of the total is a direct benefit to the synagogue.  Please call Rose Strohl 514- 484-1688, or the synagogue office. Please support our Sisterhood.
